The Art of Sin

Music by Rebecca Nisco | Directed & Choreographed by Kristen Brooks Sandler | Produced by Lawryn Lacroix | Playwright Kaitlyn Schirard

In Partnership with Thistle Dance & The New York Public Library

“Created by Thistle Dance, The Art of Sin is the second of our Unbound Series: a spooky, immersive dance experience that spans the three floors of the Jefferson Market New York Public Library and is free to attend.

This October, our exhibition of iniquity explores the entwined relationships between the seven deadly sins. Shadow them floor-by-floor and room-to-room for an unrepentantly provocative night. We’ll reframe what are often considered our worst parts and unveil each sin in its own skin.”

“I Can Do it on My Own” performed by Jennie Bissel can be found at 13”00

Our Man Harry

Determined to find her husband who is serving as a medic during the Civil War, Harriet disguises herself as a man and enlists. Her journey takes her into unfamiliar territory, teaching her about sacrifice, family, and how little she knows about her own country.

Selections of Our Man Harry premiered in a staged reading by CenterStage Theatre Company at Catholic University in Washington, D.C. in 2019. The song “I Can Do it On My Own” went on to be selected for a performance at The Kennedy Centre’s Page to Stage Festival and Millennium Stage Series by TMD Theatre.
